Can I still grow tall at my age 21 yrs. old? I'm only 5"0 and I'm dying to gain at least 3 inches
Is it possible for me to gain at least 3 inches for my age at 21? I wanna grow tall really, can stretching helps me achieve that 3 inches?
You are finished growing. You are you. You look like a lovely girl.
You're cute, you don't need it! But yes, an examination by x ray can show whether or not you are still growing - the ends of the long bones reveal this, but I forget the specific terminology.
most doctors say that females stop growing by the age of 18 though there are exceptions. don't worry though, being short isn't a bad thing .
I think at 21 you are done, so embrace who you are. Good things come in small packages.
You can get larger boobs, longer hair, longer nails, a bigger butt implants, longer eyelashes, bigger lips, a longer nose... but one thing you cannot fight fate with is your height.
High heels sweetie
I agree with previous comments that the height growing stage of life may have passed. However, there were those funny stretching tables they used in dungeons during medieval Europe history, just kidding.
Seriously, jujanester, why 3 inches. Are you trying to be taller than someone else? A glance tells me your smile is pretty tall in far off lands of saddness. Height may only be subjective. Seems to me there are a stories like David & Goliath, Jack & the Bean Stalk, and Gulliver's Travels alluding to this.
I think your two hubs are wonderful and are a catalysts to achieving great heights. And you have figured out how to ask a question here, so you are much taller than me on that, since I don't know.
Oh, yeah, take a look at all the famous women race car drivers, they aren't really tall at all. Go to the library and pick up Danica Patrick's autobiography - she isn't 5'3" either.
remember to have fun, fun, fun
You are beautiful no matter how tall or short you are. Most girls, (generally speaking) stop growing at the age of 16 to 18.
I do not think stretching helps dear. But confidence do makes you look tall.
Some people says you can't grow, some says no matter what your age is you can grow few inches by following the proper ways.

good luck!!!!
Think about platform shoes with fishies in them, or move to China.
I don't know. I have a girlfriend in the health field and she thinks she will keep growing and developing until age 25 or so. She argues that most males finish around 18-20 and females finish developing at age 25 (give or take)
So, just hope for the best, take healthy supplements an vitamins. The best way to grow anything in your body is by making sure you are getting enough whey protein. Whenever I start working out after 2-3 weeks of breaking, I normally gain a few millimeters in height, due to my muscles growing and my bones trying to compensate. I mean look at how tall most bodybuilder's are.
Ah, I wouldn't worry, unless you are literally and physically dying to grow 3 inches...
It's pretty likely you're past that stage of development by now. Unless you have a bad posture or a bent spine, which can be improved by certain exercises (though don't expect a significant change in height) the best thing to do is not worry about it.
You seem like a pretty happy and content person. Keep smiling and you'll do fine! You don't need the extra 3 inches!
Nope, you are done growing sorry to say. Girls stop growing in their teens. If it makes you feel better, I am also 5'0, 22. I stopped growing in 8th grade!
If your long bones are still growing, you can do stretching exercises. The kid brother of some friends of ours was going to be rather short, and he decided to take up basketball and after a while, was the talles of them all!
ilizarov technique, is the way you can grow now, orthopedic doctor will cut long bone of your legs, and with a equipments the bones are kept in traction, which helps to grow one mm a day.
if u think its essential you can opt this way and grow your desired height in a month..
good luck
5 feet should be okay for girls. Yes, you are likely to be at this height. Learn to appreciate yourself in other ways rather than thinking of your height.
Your beauty is inner beauty so be happy about it. No one will judge you being short. As for me, I am 6 feet.
I'm with DavidHill76 on this. A long time ago.. really long.. I learned that women continue to grow up to 25 years. Maybe David's girlfriend and I went to the same school. lol But at 18, I was already 5'3" and I got to 5'3-1/4" at 21 or so and then I stopped growing. I wanted to be as tall or taller than my older sister who sprouted to 5'4" at 16.. but I never did out-tall (?) her. I wear high heels a lot.. you can do the same. High heels really help plus they give us good posture. Always stand straight, never slouch. Always walk head up high. Wear clothes that will make you look taller. If possible don't wear different color tops and bottoms, don't wear short tops also, as these tend to cut the body length. With the right attitude, you can feel as tall as you would like to be.
Yes, if you can still have some more length but i cant confirm that you may gain 3 inches or whatsoever. I can guarantee you if you do proper exercise and diet you may gain more hieght.
Before making hullah and rush, take some time to analyse your body type and then select proper exercise accordingly.
Swimming, cycling, sprinting (very fast running for 30-40 seconds) and skipping are the classical and one of the best methods to grow height.

At 21 you're pretty much finished growing - sorry. The epiphyses (heads) and midsections of the long bones fuse about age 18 but bones continue to mature in their density (ie get stronger) until you're about 25-30 years old. Good diet and exercise like running, walking etc are essential to help this process.
Try looking at the Alexander Technique which will improve your posture and make you appear taller and more elegant. You can be elegant at any height and it takes a while to get comfortable in your own skin when you're young - sorry, I sound like an old woman now!
